BIBLE VERSES

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [that includes daughters] of God, even to them that believe on His name.

Romans 8:14-16 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

THINK SPOT

One of the most lovely stories from the Bible comes from Luke 8:43-48. A woman had been ill for 12 years and had spent everything she had on doctors who were not able to heal her. She came surreptitiously to Jesus in the crowd, touched the border of His garment and was instantly healed… and sprung! Jesus knew. Luke picks up the story… ‘And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before Him, she declared unto Him before all the people for what cause she had touched Him, and how she was healed immediately. And Jesus spoke tenderly to her, “Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole; go in peace.” Daughter. Isn’t that beautiful?
We live in an age of deception, where evil is called good, and good is called evil. We need to be cautious before sending anything to our children that may not meet the guidelines set out in God’s Word, no matter how lovely it may seem. Remember, evil can be cute, but it is still evil. This requires careful discernment and none of us always gets it right.
