One thing I want to give our sponsored children is a love and respect for God and His Word. I will not always be around for them, but God will. He has promised never to leave them. I figure the best thing I can do as their sponsor is to help them connect to each other.

For that reason, I include Bible verses on pretty much everything, even colouring pages (stick around and I’ll show you how). I choose them from this huge list of 35 pages that I compiled. It was a rainy day, okay?! :) No, seriously, this is how important I think it is. And it was as I was working on it, that I was suddenly astonished to realise how precious God’s Word had become to me. When did that happen? I also did a Bible Treasure theme for my children and as part of it, started to send them this whole list of Bible verses. I printed them two pages at a time and laminated them back to back. They loved it. These days I tend to favour KJV but when I typed out this list, it included Bible verses from various different translations. The complete list is shown below, but without the colours. Sadly, it did not retain the pretty multi-colour formatting when I uploaded it into this post (probably gave WordPress a bad hair day!) but the download does have the pretty multi-colour formatting. You are welcome to download it here. If you are looking for a specific Bible verse, do a CTRL+F page search. You are welcome to use, print, or amend this list as you wish for your child or for your own personal use. If you would prefer to do your own formatting or decorate it with Bible journalling techniques, choose your child’s favourite colours… enjoy!

Isaiah 8:13 Remember that I, the Lord Almighty, am holy; I am the one you must fear.

They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Isaiah 51:12 The Lord says, “I am the one who strengthens you. Why should you fear mortal man, who is no more enduring than grass?”
Isaiah 53:4-6 But He endured the suffering that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne. All the while we thought that His suffering was punishment sent by God. But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received. All of us were like sheep that were lost, each of us going his own way. But the Lord made the punishment fall on him, the punishment all of us deserved.
Isaiah 53:10 The Lord says, “It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness.”
Isaiah 53:12 He willingly gave His life and share the fate of evil men. He took the place of many sinners and prayed that they might be forgiven.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours”, says the Lord. “As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways and thoughts above yours.”
Isaiah 55:10-11 My word is like the snow and the rain that come down from the sky to water the earth. They make the crops grow and provide seed for sowing and food to eat. So also will be the word that I speak – it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do.

Hosea 11:3-8 I took my people up in my arms… I drew them to me with affection and love. I picked them up and held them to my cheek… My love for you is too strong.
Hosea 12:8 Trust in Your God and return to Him. Be loyal and just, and wait patiently for Your God to act.
Amos 5:14 Make it your aim to do what is right, not what is evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty really will be with you as you claim He is.
Amos 5:15 Hate what is evil, love what is right, and see that justice prevails in the courts.
Micah 6:8 What the Lord requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love and to live in humble fellowship with our God.

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you; his power gives you victory. The Lord will take delight in you and in His love He will give you new life. He will sing and be joyful over you.

Haggai 1:13 I will be with you – that is my promise.

NEW TESTAMENT
Matthew 1:23 A virgin will become pregnant and have a son, and He will be called Immanuel (which means, ‘God is with us’).
Matthew 4:3-4 Then the devil came to Him and said, “If you are God’s Son…” But Jesus answered, “It is written…”
Matthew 4:19-20 Jesus said to them, “Come with Me and I will teach you to catch men.” At once they left their nets and went with Him.
Matthew 5:3 Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
Matthew 5:4 Happy are those who mourn; God will comfort them.
Matthew 5:5 Happy are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised.

Matthew 5:10 Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
Matthew 5:11-12 Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven.
Matthew 5:13 You are like salt for all mankind. But if salt loses its saltiness, there is no way to make it salty again. It has become worthless, so it is thrown out and people trample on it.
Matthew 5:14 You are like light for the whole world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to make them come true. For verily I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the least point or the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with, until all are fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whoever obeys the law and teaches others to do the same, will be great in the Kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:23-24 So if you are about to offer your gift to God at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, go at once and make peace with your brother, and then come back and offer your gift to God.
Matthew 5:44 Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 6:8 Your Father already knows what you need before you ask Him.
Matthew 6:9-10 This then is how you should pray: Our Father in Heaven; May your Holy name be honoured; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done here on earth just as it is in Heaven; Give us today our daily food; Forgive us our sins; Just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us; Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one;
Matthew 6:19 Do not store up riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal.
Matthew 6:20 Instead, store up riches for yourselves in Heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal.
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Your heart will always be where your treasure is).
Matthew 6:24 No one can be a slave of two masters; he will hate one and love the other; he will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Matthew 6:28-29 And why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow; they do not work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers.
Matthew 6:30 It is God who clothes the wild grass – grass that is here today and gone tomorrow burnt up in the oven. Won’t he be all the more sure to clother you? How little faith you have.
Matthew 6:31-32 So do not start worrying: ‘Where will my food come from? Or my drink? Or my clothes?’ (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about). Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things.
Matthew 6:33 Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all your everyday needs shall be given to you as well
Matthew 6:34 Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too.
Matthew 6:34 So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 10:18-19 For my sake you will be brought to trial before rulers and kings, to tell the Good News to them and to the Gentiles. When they bring you to trial, do not worry about what you are going to say or how you will say it; when the time comes, you will be given what you will say.

Matthew 12:34-35 For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good person brings good things out of his treasure of good things; a bad person brings bad things out of his treasure of bad things.
Matthew 13:19-23 Those who hear the message about the Kingdom but do not understand it are like the seeds that fell along the path. The evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in them. The seeds that fell on rocky ground stand for those who receive the message gladly as soon as they hear it. But it does not sink deep into them, and they don’t last long. So when trouble or persecution comes because of the message, they give up at once. The seeds that fell among thorn bushes stand for those who hear the message; but the worries about this life and the love for riches choke the message, and they don’t bear fruit. And the seeds sown in the good soil stand for those who hear the message and understand it; they bear fruit, some as much as a hundred, others sixty, and others thirty.”
Matthew 13:31-32 Jesus told them another parable: “The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man takes a mustard seed and sows it in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree, so that birds come and make their nests in its branches.”
Matthew 13:44 The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man happens to find a treasure hidden in a field. He covers it up again, and is so happy that he goes and sells everything he has, and then goes back and buys that field.
Matthew 13:45-46 Also, the Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man is looking for fine pearls, and when he finds one that is unusually fine, he goes and sells everything he has, and buys that pearl.
Matthew 14:29-31 “Come!” answered Jesus. So Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water to Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he was afraid and started to sink down in the water. “Save me, Lord!” he cried. At once Jesus reached out and grabbed hold of him and said, “How little faith you have! Why did you doubt?”
Matthew 16:15 “What about you?” Jesus asked them. “Who do you say I am?”
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget self, carry his cross, and follow me.”
Matthew 16:25 “For whoever wants to save his own life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
Matthew 16:26 “Will a person gain anything if he wins the whole world but loses his soul?”
Matthew 17:20 Jesus answered, “I assure you that if you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill, ‘Go from here to there!’ and it will go. You could do anything!”
Matthew 18:2-4 So Jesus called a child, made him stand in front of them and said, “I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven. The greatest in the Kingdom of heaven is the one who humbles himself and becomes like this child.
Matthew 18:19 “And I tell you more, whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.”
Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them.”
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:26 This is impossible for man, but for God everything is possible.
Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake, will receive a hundred times more and will be given eternal life.
Matthew 19:30 But many who now are first will be last, and many who now are last will be first.

For we know that up to the present time all of creation groans with pain, like the pain of childbirth.
Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit Himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.
Romans 8:27 And God, who sees into our hearts, knows what the thought of the Spirit is; because the Spirit pleads with God on behalf of His people and in accordance with His will.
Romans 8:28 We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom He has called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:29 Those whom God had already chosen He also set apart to become like His Son, so that the Son would be the first among many brothers.
Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:35 Who then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death?
Romans 8:38-39 For I am certain that nothing can separate us from His love; neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers; neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below. Romans 10:9-10 If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God;

Romans 10:14 But how can they call to Him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?
Romans 11:33 How great are God’s riches. How deep are His wisdom and knowledge. Who can explain His decisions? Who can understand His ways?
Romans 11:34 As the Scriptures say, ‘Who knows the mind of the Lord? Who is able to give Him advice?’

Romans 11:36 For all things were created by Him, and all things exist through Him and for Him. To God be the glory for ever. Amen.
Romans 12:1 So then my brothers, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you. Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him. This is the true worship that you should offer.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God – what is good and is pleasing to Him and is perfect.
Romans 12:9 Love must be completely sincere. Hate what is evil, hold onto what is good.
Romans 12:10 Love one another warmly as Christian brothers and be eager to show respect for one another.
Romans 12:11 Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion.

Romans 12:14 Ask God to bless those who persecute you – yes, ask Him to bless, not to curse.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Any other sin a man commits does not affect his body, but the man who is guilty of sexual immorality sins against his own body. Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; He bought you for a price. Ephesians 1:2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
Ephesians 1:3 Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For in our union with Christ He has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.
Ephesians 1:4 God chose you to be His, before the creation of the world.
Ephesians 1:4 Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be His through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before Him in love.

Ephesians 1:19-20 And how very great is His power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which He used when He raised Christ from death and seated Him at His right side in the Heavenly world.
Ephesians 1:21 Christ rules there above all heavenly rulers, authorities, powers and lords; He has a title superior to all titles of authority in this world and in the next.
Ephesians 2:4-5 But God’s mercy is so abundant, and His love for us is so great, that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience He brought us to life with Christ. It is by God’s grace that you have been saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has already prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 3:12 In union with Christ and through our faith in Him we have the boldness to go into God’s presence with all confidence.
Ephesians 3:16 I ask God from the wealth of His glory to give you power through His Spirit to be strong in your inner selves.
Ephesians 3:17 I pray that Christ will make His hone in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love.
Ephesians 3:19 May you come to know His love – although it can never be fully known – and so be completely filled with the very nature of God
Ephesians 3:20 To Him, who by means of His power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of.

Ephesians 5:21 Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ.
Ephesians 6:1-2 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother.
Ephesians 6:7 Do your work cheerfully, as though you served the Lord and not merely men.
Ephesians 6:8 Remember that the Lord will reward everyone, whether slave or free, for the good work he does.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of His mighty power.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on all the armour that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the devil’s evil tricks.
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rules, authorities and cosmic powers of this dark age.
Ephesians 6:13 So put on God’s armour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy’s attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.
Ephesians 6:14 So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight round your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate.
Ephesians 6:15 And as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace.
Ephesians 6:16 At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one.
Ephesians 6:17 And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you.
Ephesians 6:18 Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.

Philippians 1:2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:13 God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey His own purpose.
Philippians 2:14-15 Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God’s perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky.
Philippians 3:7 But all those things that I might count as profit I now reckon as loss for Christ’s sake.
Philippians 3:9 I no longer have a righteousness of my own, the kind that is gained by obeying the law. I now have the righteousness that is given through faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God and is based on faith.

Colossians 1:28 So we preach Christ to everyone. With all possible wisdom we warn and teach them in order to bring each one into God’s presence as a mature individual in union with Christ.
Colossians 2:2-3 In this way they will know God’s secret, which is Christ Himself. He is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:4 I tell you then, do not let anyone deceive you with false arguments, no matter how good they seem to be.
Colossians 2:6 Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with Him.
Colossians 2:7 Keep your roots deep in Him, build your lives on Him and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:10 And you are complete in Christ, who is supreme over every spiritual ruler and power.
Colossians 2:12 For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ through your faith in the active power of God, who raised Him from death.
Colossians 2:15 And on that cross Christ freed Himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in His victory procession.
Colossians 3:1 You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on His throne at the right hand side of God.
Colossians 3:2 Keep your minds fixed on things in Heaven, not on things here on earth.
Colossians 3:3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4 Your real life is Christ and when He appears, then you too will appear with Him and share His glory.
Colossians 3:12 God loved you and chose you for His own
Colossians 3:12 You are the people of God; He loved you and chose you for His own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3:13 Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you.
Colossians 3:13-14 Be compassionate, kind, not proud, gentle, patient, tolerant with one another and forgive one another even as Christ forgave you; and to all these qualities add love which bonds all things together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:15 The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make
Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for men; knowing that you will receive the reward of the inheritance from the Lord. For you are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 4:2 Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God.
Colossians 4:5 Be wise in the way you act towards those who are not believers, making good use of every opportunity you have.
Colossians 4:12 He always prays fervently for you, asking God to make you stand firm, as mature and full convinced Christians, in complete obedience to God’s will.
1 Thessalonians 1:2 We always thank God for you all and always mention you in our prayers.
1 Thessalonians 2:2 Even though there was much opposition, our God gave us courage to tell you the Good News that comes from Him.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 We do not try to please men, but to please God, who tests our motives.
1 Thessalonians 2:8 Because of our love for you we were ready to share with you not only the Good News from God but even our own lives. You were so dear to us.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 For God is at work in you who believe.
1 Thessalonians 2:20 Indeed you are our pride and joy!
1 Thessalonians 3:7 So, in all our trouble and suffering we have been encouraged about you, brothers. It was your faith that encouraged us.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 Our brothers, we must thank God at all times for you. It is right for us to do so, because your faith is growing so much and the love each of you has for the others is becoming greater.
2 Thessalonians 1:4 We boast about the way you continue to endure and believe through all the persecutions and sufferings you are experiencing.
2 Thessalonians 1:11 We ask our God to make you worthy of the life He has called you to live.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. And so God send the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false. The result is that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in sin, will be condemned.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and keep you safe from the evil one.
1 Timothy 1:17 To the eternal King, Immortal and invisible, the only God – to Him be honour and glory for ever and ever! Amen.
1 Timothy 1:19 And keep your faith and a clear conscience. Some men have not listened to their conscience and have made a ruin of their faith.

Revelation 1:5-6 Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, and the first to be raised from death and who is the ruler of the kings of the world. He loves us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. And has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:7 Look, He is coming with clouds. Everyone shall see Him, including those who pierced Him. All the people of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 19:1 After this, I heard what sounded like the roar of a large crowd of people in Heaven saying, “Praise God! Salvation, glory and power belong to our God! True and just are His judgements.”
Revelation 21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth disappeared, the sea vanished…God Himself will be with them, and He will be their God. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared.
Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, “Listen! I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me to give to each one according to what they have done. I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who obey His commandments, and have the right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:17 Come, whoever is thirsty; accept the water of life as a gift, whoever wants it.
Revelation 22:18 I solemnly warn everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to his punishment the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes anything away from the prophetic words of this book, God will take away from him his share out of the book of life and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:20 He who gives His testimony to all these things says, “Yes indeed! I am coming soon!” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
