Whenever you see a miracle, ask yourself ‘who gets the credit?’ Because the time will come when the evil one will come with ‘all power and signs and lying wonders’. You will know immediately whether it is of God by who gets the credit.

*
- When the Lord Jesus did miracles, the people glorified God.
Matthew 9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
*
- When the disciples did miracles, they were very careful to make sure God got the credit.
Acts 3:12-16 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, ‘Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus… And His name through faith in his name hath made this man strong’.
Acts 14:14-15 Which when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein…
Acts 4:21 …for all men glorified God for that which was done.
*
- Likewise, the Lord Jesus instructs us…
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
*
- Because the day will come and is probably not far away…
2 Thessalonians 2:7-10 For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
