“The Night to Shine movement is more than just a prom; it is a night where people with special needs shine and they are told that they matter, that they are important and that God has a plan for their life!” – Tim Tebow
On one night, 10 February 2017, churches from around the world will be hosting Night to Shine for thousands of honored guests and you are invited. Night to Shine is a prom night to show God’s love to people with special needs. Every guest enters this complimentary event on a red carpet to a cheering crowd and friendly paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment – hair, makeup, shoe shining, corsages, boutonnieres, karaoke and of course, dancing! The highlight of the night comes when every one of the Night to Shine guests is crowned as a king or queen of the prom. Each host church is provided with financial support, detailed instructions, a prom kit complete with decorations and gifts for the guests. Night to Shine is a night for the churches to shine, the volunteers to shine, our honored guests to shine, and most importantly, God to shine!
“In Haiti, and many developing countries, children with special needs are believed to be cursed… saw for the first time these children being touched, being celebrated… being loved. The crowd began to see these children in a new light…”
God whispered to me: ‘I will never ever forget her. She is famous to me like an A-lister walking the red carpet. I throw a party, serve the best food and clothe her in love. I pamper her with my goodness and put a crown on her head. She is precious and she is mine.’ – Volunteer and mother of a Night to Shine guest
