CREATION DAY 7 ~ Creation is finished. It was all VERY GOOD. Life is a PERFECT PARADISE (for a while anyway). A beautiful garden filled with food. Animals and birds on clean up duty. A young couple very much in love, given the responsibility to care for it, told to go and have fun and start a brand new family. God takes a rest and decrees a holiday every week… not for His benefit, but for ours!
And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was VERY GOOD. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31
Note: The theory of evolution is built on a foundation of death, suffering and millions of years. This is in direct contradiction to what God said… that everything He made was initially VERY GOOD.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens… Genesis 2:1-4
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence comes my help. My help comes from the LORD which made heaven and earth… He that keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:1-4
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labour, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor the stranger that is within your gates. For in SIX DAYS the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11
THINK SPOT : ”For in SIX DAYS the Lord made heaven and earth…”
Love this verse! It deals a fatal blow to the lie from the pit of hell – evil-ution – that is the ultimate insult to God, and has wrecked too many people’s faith. ‘First there was nothing, then it exploded and everything made itself’. When God was speaking to Moses up on that mountain, our Creator wrote it down for us on tablets of stone, with His own finger… S..I..X… D..A..Y..S…. just in case we missed it. :)
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Romans 1:20-22
CREATION DAY 7 ~ INFORMATION FOR KIDS ~ FREE PRINTABLE
Day 7 – Who needs a rest? – fun article for kids (creation.com) from scientists who take the Bible seriously; You may wonder why God took six days to make everything. He certainly did not need six days, any more than He needed billions of years. He could have done it all in a single instant on the very first day. So why did God take six days? The answer is given in Exodus 20:10–11… Six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh is a day of rest. ‘For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day.’ With these words, God commanded His people, Israel, to work for six days and rest for one. That is why a week is seven days long, not six days or eight. It is based on the way God made the universe during Creation Week. His ‘rest’ on the seventh day was to give us an example… Jesus Christ is the Creator God. Not only does the Bible say so, but during His earthly life He did the things we would expect the Creator God to do. He did them in the way we would expect the Creator God to do them—by the authority of His Word. And the doing of them displayed His glory. He is Almighty God, Lord, Creator and Saviour. All who believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life; free printable
Creation – Seven Cs of Gospel history – fun article for kids a summary of creation week for kids from scientists who take the Bible seriously; Everything that God produced during Creation Week was beautiful and perfect for God’s purpose. Nothing was bad or evil. There was no death of animals or people. No mutations, no struggle for existence, nothing ‘unfit’. Where does our seven-day week come from? It comes directly from God. God took six days to create everything and then rested on the seventh day. He wasn’t tired (the Hebrew word means “ceased”), but He did this as an example for our benefit. He put it into the Ten Commandments that He gave to the Israelites through Moses. The Fourth Commandment told them to rest one day in seven from their work, and the reason given was: “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day” (Exodus 20:8–11)… Although evolutionists make bold claims, they do not have answers to their own problems. The account in the Bible is much the better explanation of how and why everything happened. If you believe in God, you will find, as many scientists have, that God’s word, the Bible, tells us the true facts; (this article is also available in Indonesian); more free creation articles for kids here including the rest of this series: Curse; Catastrophe; Confusion; Covenant; Christ; Consummation; all free printable

Exodus 20:11 – Free Verse Card For in SIX DAYS the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. I love this Bible verse. Just in case we didn’t get it the first time around in Genesis 1, God engraved it on a tablet of stone for us with His own finger to remind us! SIX days!
Romans 1:20 – Free Verse Card For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. A stern warning for all of us!
nextmanga.com (for purchase) The story of the universe in manga form. A comic book Bible series that keeps kids/teens (and adults!) riveted. Book 1 (Mutiny) tells the story starting from creation in Genesis 1 and up to time of the Exodus from Egypt (somewhere around Exodus 15). And I love how they have added a few extra frames of background history to give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the true villain of history. The top angel (a created being like us) rebels against the Creator; is kicked out of Heaven; becomes God’s arch enemy; and arrives on earth to create mischief, mayhem and havoc with (as he sneers) ‘God’s favoured ones’ – humans. To rob, kill and destroy. Buy and send a few pages at a time. It’s also an excellent gift idea for a sponsor visit. My kids loved these. Monica told us that it was her favourite book. :)
