March 25 – International Day of the Unborn Child

LIFE IS A SACRED GIFT ~ TO BE CHERISHED

“Long before our first haircut, our feet take their first faltering steps, our hands leave their first sticky imprint, or our hearts break, the journey’s already begun in the womb. At 22 days after conception, the heart has begun to beat, and by 70 days our feet are perfectly formed. By three months, all our organs are in place…”

These beautiful words come from the notbornyet.com campaign. Did you know that March 25 is the International Day of the Unborn Child? No, until recently, neither did I. Why March 25? Apparently because if you add 9 months, you get December 25.  :o  The day we celebrate our Creator coming to Earth as a tiny, helpless baby, although his actual birthday was more likely the end of September.

  • Bookmarks:  with super cute baby feet and Bible verse from Jeremiah 1:5. This is precisely what the feet of a 10 week old baby in the womb looks like. Aren’t they gorgeous? And the other photo is what a real baby in the womb looks like around the same age. Print on 4×6 photo paper (glossy works best), so it’s easy to print extras to bless family and friends.

I want to call her Stacey  9 minute video telling the story an unborn child developing in the womb, from her perspective. From the first sparks of her existence, all her joys are threatened by growing tension between her parents. A voiceless hero, Stacey’s journey is helplessly influenced by the choices and actions of others, until the very life that is so beautifully evident in Stacey’s character is under threat.

This sobering video from Ray Comfort and the Living Waters team likens the silent and hostile war against our unborn children to the Nazi holocaust of World War II. And this holocaust against children continues. How many precious little ones were killed in the sanctity of their mothers’ wombs just today in the USA ~ and in the world? operationoutcry.org  seeks to end the pain of abortion in America and around the world by mobilizing women and men hurt by abortion who share their true stories of the devastating effects of abortion.

Question:  How many of your sins did the Lord Jesus die for? Answer: ALL of them. The ones we committed yesterday; the ones we will commit today and the ones we will commit when we (hopefully not) stumble and fall tomorrow. Were any of them a surprise to Him? No. GOD WILL FORGIVE ALL CONFESSED SIN. But they must be confessed. And then forsaken. So remember the Christian’s bar of soap…

  • IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
  • No matter who we are or what we have been like… now God declares us not guilty of offending Him if we trust in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:22-24
  • And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:11
