I like going to church, because there nobody hit me…

This is what one adorable little 7 year old boy in Bolivia told his Compassion sponsor. How the astonished sponsor reacted – with the little boy’s mother and all his siblings sitting next to him – left them all (and me) in tears. Watch it here.*

Sponsoring children really does rescue kids like Emmanuel from extreme poverty and offer them a brighter future. Many former sponsored children are now professionals who sponsor their own child!

“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him… Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your reward.” Isaiah 58:6-8

Children in extreme poverty are particularly vulnerable to the atrocity of human trafficking.

They need a hero. That could be YOU!

Check out what these cheeky and happy children from all over the world are saying to their sponsors.

And when you choose a child to be a part of your heart and your family, don’t forget…  :)

Human trafficking is BIG business – AND coming to a town near you. “A trafficker rarely approaches a girl looking like the Grim Reaper. He is a clever adult boyfriend who showers an under age girl with gifts and affection, while steadily building a wall between her and her parents. He’ll appear as a modelling agent, or in the recent case of Brittney Cason, as a talent agent giving her a chance to report the Olympics…” Read more…

Child sponsorship actually helps prevent human trafficking and child slavery.
