I was having a look at these free sample pages (pdf) of a new book about animals written by a zoologist from a Biblical perspective.

Frank Sherwin, the author (from icr.org), answers some of these questions:
- How do fish breathe and birds fly?
- Why do some animals migrate and others hibernate?
- And what happened to the dinosaurs and other extinct animals?
All of these creatures and more are a testament to God’s glory. There are 16 sample pages (8 double-sided pages), so it could be split over a few posts or they would be great to go with something like a Noah’s Ark theme. The illustrations are beautiful and in full colour and have lots of fun, scientific, as well as Biblical facts. Anyway, I was thinking I might print the sample pages to send to my sponsored children. It’s a hard cover book, so I don’t think I could bring myself to buy that one and cut it up. But you may like to check it out for your own children or grandchildren also ~ a great gift idea.
