CREATIVE IDEAS FOR PHOTO FRAMES / PHOTO GIFT TAGS

  1. ADD A PHOTO:  Add your child’s photo or your family photo. Use this tutorial as a guide or just glue it on.
  2. ADD AN IMAGE:  Add a Christmas Nativity image or clip art.
  3. DRAWING:  Ask your child to draw a picture of themselves (as a gift to Jesus) or their family in the frame. Draw your own Christmas Nativity scene. Or perhaps your own child may like to draw a picture of your family to send to your sponsored child. In any case, printing on normal A4 paper or craft card is probably best for drawing.
  4. DECORATION:  Use it as a Christmas Nativity decoration.
  5. GIFT TAG:  Attach it to your Christmas gifts as a personalised gift tag.
  6. BANNER / MOBILE:  Make a photo gift tag for each member of your family, and one with your favourite Nativity image, then string them up into a festive Christmas banner or mobile. Add one for Baby Jesus. Or make a banner or mobile with photos of your child at different ages. A great gift idea, too.
  7. LAMINATE:  If you are making it for your family, you may wish to consider laminating the finished gift tag (and blue strap). Make it a Christmas gift and memory your recipient will be able to treasure next year, and the year after that, and the year after that…

FILL THE FRAME WITH YOUR PHOTO OR LEAVE A SMALL GAP?

As you can see in these two samples, you can either fill the photo frame completely, as I have done with Umuhoza’s and Estefany’s photo. Or you can leave a white strip around the photo, as I have done with Hubert. They both look fabulous. Aren’t they adorable, my kids? I am so proud of them. Now your masterpiece is ready for your child to hang up on their wall. You may like to print an extra copy for your own home gallery, too.

DO YOU WRITE ONLINE?

If you write to your sponsored child online, simply upload one of these photo frames (with your child’s photo or your family’s photo already in it), as you would a normal photo.
