Tutorial – Adding photos to the FREE articles for kids

Butterfly article for kids giving glory to God as designer; free printable

WHEN YOU NEED TO ADD YOUR OWN PHOTOS

My FREE articles for kids have been designed to give glory to God and to help build a faith that will last a lifetime. Many photos that I used for my kids are subject to copyright restrictions, so I am unable to share those with you. You can still use the articles for your children, however, by simply adding your own photos. All the hard work has been done for you – research, design, layout. All you have to do is to add photos. Make it your own. Let your creativity shine. Give it your own personal touch. There are two ways you can do this:

  • Print your photos out separately and glue them on… OR…
  • Follow this easy how-to tutorial.

HOW-TO

1.  Right click on the article you want and save it to your computer.

2.  Open it up in a program like MS Publisher, Photoshop, or Open Office Draw. These instructions are for MS Publisher. Set page size to A4. Make sure the article is sitting nicely inside it.

3.  Copy (CTRL + C) and paste (CTRL + V) each photo you wish to use onto the article. Adjust size and position. Print.

Print

That’s it. Too easy. See how clever you are.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Too hard? Print your photo separately, cut it out, and simply glue it on.

You may like to laminate your masterpiece to keep it looking nice. Remember that your sponsored child probably lives in extreme poverty conditions. That may mean dirt floors / dusty environment / poor storage.

You may also like to add a tiny touch of cute clipart (e.g. a trail of animal footprints) before you print. Be creative. Go for it.

I used to send extra copies of my articles for their teacher. I’ve had some great feedback. Think about who you could print out an extra copy for! I also send extras of things like Bible wallet cards for our children to share around with their family and friends, or with children who may not have heard from their sponsor in a while.

Share the love.
